The entire state of Kentucky is on it's collective knees begging for the return of Jodie Meeks to Lexington. Jodie has endured and enjoyed the entire NBA draft process and has twenty-four hours remaining in the limited time frame to make a decision.
Jodie has made it known that he aspires to play in the NBA next season, but he wants a guaranteed contract before he makes that eventual jump. While, several teams have shown interest in Jodie, varying reports have lead to the assumption that a guarantee has not been put in place. Many around the situation believe that Jodie will pull his name out of the draft and return to Kentucky tomorrow and, if that holds true, the entire nation will be put on notice that Kentucky is back.
With the return of Meeks, UK will be considered a pre-season top five team and have two-legitimate pre-season all-american picks in Patrick Patterson and Meeks. The veteran leadership of Meeks and Patterson mixed with, on paper, one of the best recruiting classes in history have gave the Kentucky fan base reason for unbelievable optimism.
A team that was traveling to Omaha, Nebraska to play MVC opponent Creighton in the NIT just a few months ago will now have a roster that is littered with four and five star talent.
So, what will Jodie choose? A puncher's chance at an NBA roster or a chance to be a pre-season all-american on a top five team.. That is the ultimate question.

please come home jodie!!!!!!!
He is coming back!
Still no word yet...
Jodie is ready to return to Kentucky. Mark it down.
I'd say he will stay in. He says he is coming back if not gauranteed a 1st round pick but if there is any chance that he will be getting any kind of money you know he will stay in and get the cash. When it comes down to cash or UK you know he would screw over UK and do anything else to get that money..
He's better off in the long run to stay one more year and go into the NBA as a much higher draft pick. He'd end up playing for a bad team in the NBA that will really need him, and when his second contract comes up, that's when he'd make the big $$$. Leaving now to go pro would get him money in the pocket now for sure (more than I'll ever see), but by leaving early and going to a good team that won't need him so badly when it comes time to sign that second NBA deal, he'll end up costing himself millions in the long run. I'd say he'll stay.
Either he comes back or goes....He has a few hours and I'm all ears. Jodie leave and you miss your senior night, a championship run, a chance to boost your mobile skillz, a final four, and a chance to be the National Player of the year.....Jodie if he goes pro can show what he can do whether he is undersized or not...Jodie will score. He has showed us this whether it was a the the free throw line or drivin in for AND1s. This is Meeks Tweek baby and we are waitin for the best. The best is whatev you want Jodie.
